the big three, angelica huston (what an amazing women), terry and bob in more innocent pastures… for what ever its said about terry (in paris), his work in my opinion is way beyond nudity. i mean there are millions of nudy photogs and you cant bundle terry into that. this trash talk is like writing off Araki as just a nudy photographer and not being able to see past our puritan and rather hypocritical ways, just to get some attention… and that would be rather shallow wouldn’t it. o.k. you can all comment now! by dd
fashion
4 interviews
it’s basically another fashion thing but of the interesting kind. it was posted on style.com over the past few weeks and it’s about the future of fashion, naysayers will say that fashion deserve to die, ok we got it…
whatever, asking about it’s future to 4 insiders on a commercial, photographic or trends point of view seems relevant.
there is 4 interviews including, robert duffy, olivier zahm, hedi slimane and cathy horyn. and it worth having a look, some interesting things are said. by pp’
mulholland drive x moscot
passed by moscot on delancey few days ago and i saw those weird extra bold glasses in the window. i was really surprised (in a good way) when they told me they were the glasses adam kesher a.k.a actor justin theroux wore in david lynch’s mulholland drive. it’s based on a vintage french frame that they remade for the movie and decided to issued some for fun. so of course it’s not the obvious pair of trendy glasses but at the same time it’s not the easiest choice either. and that’s what i like about it. that being said the 300 made, are not sold out yet (and the movie was not released yesterday…) by pp’
balenciaga blacklists french vogue
hilarious fashion gossip of the moment is that french vogue was recently ‘blacklisted’ from attending the balenciaga show in paris this week for three possible reasons: 1) carine roitfeld was naughtier than we ever imagined, and loaned a requested balenciaga sample to maxmara (a brand she consults for), 2) because balenciaga designer nicolas ghèsquiere was unimpressed by the firing of bestie marie amelie sauvé, or 3) because carine refused to remove unflattering photos of ghèsquiere from facebook. some people never really graduate from highschool i suppose. by kl
margiela without the man
for being the first season without martin margiela doing the designing himself, the fall 2010 collection was still very much in his spirit. the crazy fur “cages” seem like a direct evolution of previous seasons hair coats. (i seem to recall seeing something very similar at the fever ray concert last fall…) and the quirky dimensions continue – this time the house redefined the waist. so unexpected and surprisingly chic. by kv
fashion icons: love magazine asks 8 of “the most beautiful women in the world” for their opinions on their bodies
do you do anything special to prepare for a nude shoot? no.
whats the worse thing about your body? my toes.
your body is a…? temple… and my job.
do you like your body? usually. but sometimes i wish i had a more voluptuous and toned body.
whats the worse thing about your body? my legs, i hate my muscular legs.
how do you look after your body? like a favorite pet.

barnaby roper: mark ronson shoot
yeh it’s just that kind of a day
this is sort of like… one of those uber fancy parties you end up in… and everyone you talk to is bitching about something or another (yes myself included). i saw it and i just had to smile. available for just $64, yet another reason to be unhappy.
turns out of course it has nothing to do with that, it was a phrase, or so i learned, that was refering to technology and how its made us all more miserable… hell, i agree lets bitch about that at least anyway. by uh
