after his truly inspired launch of benjamin bixby that premiered at barney’s new york in one of the worse times in retail economy, the producer, actor, designer took an unexpected vacation. on our end, we can’t wait to see him back. of all the newly launched lines by a slew of loser actors, singers and famous-for-no-reasons, andre was breath of fresh air. some one with a real sense of personal style and principle. we hope to see him back in full force. lots of love to the new BB. by xy

tavi and the original once upon a time style rookie turned hollywood chloe sevignygeez… they just couldn’t let the little girl be, they had to take her over and consume her entire being with some gravy. the covers of brit pop wasn’t enough. the little girl that we loved who once “sat inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats. Scattered black petals on Rei Kawakubo’s doorsteps and serenaded her in rap. who had no where near 4 million readers. Rather cynical and cute as a drained rat...” seems to be going out a bit now days… we hope shes still happy and smart enough to keep them at an arms length… never forget darling: being distant will always give you a better view of the pray ; ) by dd

last wednesday evening we walked passed the sam haskins show and the new yorker magazines guest-list to enter an intimate showing of house of waris‘ ss-2010 collection at phillips de pury auction house. the event was an antithesis to the jane hotel fashion week dance-in. this time the gathering was ubber exlusive and the pieces guarded by more security than guests. the location of course added to the aura of waris and his exclusive collection, each piece handmade and magically blessed. waris’ signature orange-and-gold tent was set up and champagne was conveniently at hand. by uh
