Oil Slick in the Gulf of Mexico: U.S. prohibited from enforcing the ban on the oil company
you gotta love the sellout losers like martin feldman, i really wonder how much money is needed to make you become one of these disgusting, unethical, moral-less idiots. makes me sick: “a new orleans federal judge, martin feldman, “immediately prohibited” the U.S. from enforcing the ban on the oil company and lifted the six-month moratorium on deepwater drilling imposed by president obama following the largest oil spill in U.S. history. drilling services share prices went up upon the release of the news.“ by xy
anonymous gem – beaubourg
i shot this piece of beauty in beaubourg at the “dreamland” exhibition (sorry for the bad crop). the rest of the show is pretty lame but this is a real gem. it’s from 1930 and anonymous, i would bet that was an inspiration for some of the most iconic shots from solve sundsbo. love it! by dns + pp
chanel nº 5 – the birth of a myth
the iconic shape of chanel nº 5 is said to be inspired by vodka flasks from russian soldiers surrounding her lover. by pp’
roy lichtenstein – still life at gagosian
generally not a huge fan, or maybe a bored fan of roy lichtenstein, it was rather refreshing to see the still life exhibition at gagosian. some of them have a modern yet minimal touch of color that is not that usual in lichtenstein work (photo). some are a bit boring too but worth checking anyway. by pp’

Mobilier International: Oscar Niemeyer 1972 lounge chair
talking about chairs… i saw an original of this 1972 oscar niemeyer chair at an auction at phillips de pury and company that i posted it a few months back. i had not seen it in beige leather so here it is. consider it! here’s one auctioned between 5,000 and 7,000 but sold for $9,600… ouch! ; ) by dd
