Harrier and Jaguar by Fionna Banner

i came across a recent commission of fionna banner by the tate britain. i must admit that i was unaware of her work before and feel like i’ve walked into a world i’ve been missing out on. her fascination with the emblem of the fighter plane gives us these elegant arrangements. she sees them as the ‘opposite of language’, used when communication fails …”harrier and jaguar remain ambiugous objects implying both captured beast and fallen trophy.” if you’re in london you can catch this exhibition until january 1011. i will definitely be exploring more of this delicately abrasive artists work. by kl

diptyque – still in love!

after proudly sporting diptyque’s for about ten years i wanted a changes and went unfaithfully to every other perfumers in paris to get an idea on what to switch for. my nose went to numerous more or less pleasant smells, people were really nice and the all experience was pretty glamorous but nothing rocked my world and i eventually went back to diptyque! i know it’s a bit mainstream nowadays and kind of obvious but they’re my guys!
ps: do you fellows know the name ditptyque comes from the fact their original store on boulevard saint germain is a corner and offers two large windows that the founders interpreted as… a diptyque! by pp’

starck+intersection magazine

saw the starck+intersection mag concept car in the window of colette last night. that is a really nice piece actually. maybe starck should stick to this kind of project since not far away from there is another one of his production, the hotel meurice and believe me, the soap car is definitely on top! by pp’
