james sherwood’s book on savile row in french… that’s kinda funny already! the original edition is of course in english and published by thames & hudson with a better cover (or so i think). by dd
call my tailor: steve mcqueen
talk about handsome men and fine tailors. no doubt mcqueen visited savile row at the time for his personal pleasure (when there was no abercrombie & fitch anywhere in sight). douglas hayward of course supplied the suits for the thomas crown affair but that relationship didn’t just stop there. there is a great book on savile row, with a forward by tom ford (of course) which i will try and find to post. makes for good reading for anyone interested in dropping 10-20K on a suit. by dd

horst p horst – more cy twombly
horst p horst at home when i was very young, and i remember this portrait of cy twombly in his crazy italian house, the rest of the story was released in an edition of vogue at the time. love the romantic aspect of living in a palazzo and everything that comes with it as far as choices, life, style and so on. by the way, also love the gehrard richter portrait laying on the floor, in this setting, it’s rather cool! isn’it? by pp.
