another beautiful audio object from swiss manufacturer nagra. price per value this unit is not as attractive as its pure aesthetic. for approximately $25,200 (17,750 euros), the approx cost of the 300i, much better sounding units can be excavated, and frankly i personally think anything over $10,000 is a bit of an ostentatious endeavor, but if money was not an issue this is indeed a beautiful piece, not only to listen to, but also stare at. type: integrated amplifier, power: 2x 20w, 15hz to 55khz -3db, total harmonic distortion: 0.8 %, valves: 300b push -pull. by xy

kate middleton’s wedding dress vs. my moms

i had never seen kates infamous wedding dress but when i saw it i was rather surprised at all the fuss, after all i had seen pics of my mom in a very similar dress all my life… i still don’t get the fuss, its just a wedding dress and i have yet to see one that is impressive.

dieter rams – as little design as possible

phaidon is releasing a book on dieter rams, it’s called “as little design as possible” and i think it’s pretty nice to be able to see the places where designers ( or artists or whoever) work. i always found so inspiring to see studios and homes… well that’s maybe my “voyeur” side… anyway, here we see that mister rams stick to his guns, studios are as strict as the design! by pp.
