the latest body of work of french artist xavier veilhan revolves around LA architecture from the mid century. the case study house n°21 by pierre koenig was one of them. veilhan wanted to emphasize the purity of the architectural shapes by filling the space with smoke, and replacing the water in the ponds with a dark black liquid. the result is ghost like, simple yet impressive. by pp.

lucien herve was corbusier’s official photographer and followed him twice in india. agnes b on howard street is showing some of the prints from this trips. corbu told him:
“not only your remarkable vision of my work makes it more complete, but you have the soul of an architect and know how to look at architecture.”

in 1973 one of the biggest european architect ricardo bofill discovered a cement factory, part of an industrial complex from the turn of the century, comprising over 30 silos, underground galleries and huge engine rooms. he transformed it into his head office and house, which he has been remodeling for the last two years in order to achieve this unbelievable project (learn more about the project here). by cp
