i don’t really know who is ito and it’s not as if his website was really helping to that matter but his pictures, man… they’re absolutely fab! if i was living in the place i want to live in, there would be a “beyond reason” size print from the man on the wall! and on a less capitalist note, i think what the guy captures is really different from the rest of the crowd but keep a really edgy and modern look… can’t get enough of it by pp.

the descendents: milo goes to college
an ode to singer milo aukerman‘s nerdiness in high school, this album cover is iconic to anyone who thrives on so cal’ melodic hardcore punk rock especially from the early 80’s. the descendents debut album “milo goes to college” was released in 1982 before milo left the band to pursue a phd in biochemistry. this album still ranks on the higher end of punk rock, alternative, and hardcore top album lists today. by jr

dashwood books in NY is a great venue for limited edition books. the small store is run by, fashion stylist anne christensen other half: david strettell, who carefully edits every title that makes it into the store. will try and stop by tonight to check out martina hoogland ivanow’s book “far too close” published by steidlmack. should be worth the walk. by dd

straggling down new york’s financial district one would expect to find dinosaur bones scattered around from the jurassic financial era, but not a live, hopping, wooly underneath the woolworth buidling!! everyone from waris, to mark borthwick, to karen ellison have graced its thrift-store decor which seems to grow and accumulate with each of my visits there. the wooly has officially become the go-to place for recapturing the intimate parties that gave new york the old reputation it once had. this last saturday fashion designer camilla staerk along with her friends, victor glemaud and hanuk hosted a small but super fun gathering. as expected an eclectic and fun crowd of friends coupled with good music (may kwok & rod) melted the night hours away. all photo credits go to our charming host hanuk. by xy
