no, this magazine is not from the richardson you think it is, that being said that’s true there is some similarities and the main richardson used to shoot a lot for this publication but the man behind this magazine is andrew richardson. dodgy man himself but none the less one of the best stylist in the industry. the issue number 4 is out, something like five years after the third one. welcome back naughty one! by pp
apc journal – singapore store
apc is presenting it’s own blog for a couple of weeks now. they posted a pics of their new store in singapore… pretty cool store isn’t it? very colonial in the aesthetic, love it! this blog was elaborate with ezra petronio and its actually based on the exact same template as the selfservice blog which oddly disappeared . but enough bitching, we will follow this one for sure! by pp

just saw one of those chairs by designer jerszy seymour at palais de tokyo. as you might guess the designer is living in berlin and even if this kind of work is not really my cup of tea, i though it was really really interesting! maybe design is getting less consensual after all or maybe people living in berlin are just so out of an hardcore capitalist reality that they are catching a glimpse of truth. by pp

few posts ago, i was talking about mr lichtenstein and how i was mostly attracted to the more confidential work of his (if we can say so). so i have the same feelings for andy’s, the first works, the ones that are not re-printed on bags, socks, umbrellas and so on, still feel really fresh. love when it’s not to produced. i won’t do a third post but i feel the same for the beatles… by pp

was zoning on some blogs and found this (very nice) image on rbpm fanzine and was wondering if interview magazine was still good? i was totally thrilled when it was reshaped by fabien but got bored after the back and forth with m/m and everything. for some reason i felt that the edgy thing from the first new issues was gone. should i check it again? by pp
comme des garcons – wonderwood
just saw the new “comme des garcons” perfume wonderwood. the smell is very strange as it is the case with most of their fragrance. but rather interesting as always.
i was wondering if marc atlan who used to design the previous bottle and who set the image of the brand is still doing it. anybody know? anyway, this one seems to be a bit less original than odeur 53 but always cool to welcome a newborn. by pp

jean charles de castelbajac – angels
i always had a certain kind of admiration for designer jean charles de castelbajac. not that i am especially fond of the clothes he did, but the man himself is definitely a great one. while in paris for few days, i’m always surprised and amused to see one of the angels he draws on wall using chalk. i heard he did it for years and it’s usually around the most beautiful places, like a blink. by pp

eugene marsan’s book “quelques portraits de dandys” is a little gem published by “l’editeur singulier”. it’s just a few pages about dandy’s such as maurice barrès, jules barbey d’aurevilly, charles baudelaire, honoré de balzac, stendhal and so on. the author focus on details such as press pants or the details of a cane to relate those french dandys. anyway, everything is cool in this book, from the cover to the pictures, here 9 portraits of charles baudelaire. love it! by pp

just saw the documentary by french filmmaker stephen kijak. shot in the south of france during the stones exile tour, accommodated by their private jet and all, due to “unbearable” british taxes, hah! was a great watch and included some amazing-intimate-still-images of a band, too big to call, rock and roll. will try and post some more images later. recommended. by dd
